Midweek Bible studies

Midweek small groups

Our midweek small group Bible studies are really important to our church life together at St Helen’s. Many of us find that meeting up with a small group of people during the week to help one another understand God’s word better and to pray together really helps us to grow in our relationship with God and with one another.

We run several small group evenings :

Read Mark Learn (RML) runs across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and looks at different parts of the Bible: Mark, John, Romans and a Bible Overview. Each evening has a weekend away together each term.

We suggest starting with RML Mark or John as these are specifically designed for newcomers.

RML John for students (including postgrads) runs on Wednesday evenings and Tuesday or Wednesday evenings are for everyone else. We start with supper from 7.15pm in St Peter's (John Tuesday) or St Helen's (Mark Wednesday) and will be finished by 9.30pm.

IGG (International Growth Groups) runs on Wednesday evenings at St Peter's, studying the same books of the Bible as RML. Whilst we enjoy having internationals across all the different small group evenings, IGG is put on to help those from overseas who might struggle to feel at home in St Helen's, with the intention of helping Internationals quickly settle in and integrate within the church family.

Central Focus is the small group evening aimed primarily at those who have already done RML. However, it is also an excellent place to start if you are in your thirties (or above!) or have children.

To sign up for a small group, please email the church office.
