Living in London

St Helen's Church welcomes a broad mix of people who live in London, young and old, single and married. Our aim is that everyone who comes to St Helen's will hear the message of the Bible clearly taught.

Many people decide to settle in London and at St Helen’s for the long-term. Lots of them will have been part of Read Mark Learn (RML) or Christianity Explored groups. Some will be students or workers; some won't fit easily into any category! We call our long-termers the Church Family because we want to express our commitment to one another due to our commitment to Jesus Christ.

Many (but not all) of the Church Family attend the Sunday Morning Service at St Helen's. The service begins with all ages meeting together. After about 15 minutes the younger members of the Church Family leave for a variety of activities.

We also provide crèche facilities throughout the service, which includes an audio link to the main meeting. On a number of occasions during the year we hold all-age services where everyone stays together. These provide an ideal opportunity to introduce newcomers to St Helen's.

The Church Family also tends to belong to one of our midweek post-RML small groups, either Central Focus or one of the Home Groups. These meet to study various books of the Bible and to pray and support one another in various ways.

Many women who are at based at home for all or part of the week meet together in local groups. These aim to provide prayer, teaching and mutual support, and to help one another know God better and serve him in our homes, families, local communities and our networks of friends and relationships.
