Here at St Helen's, we're keen to keep mulling through the application of Sunday's sermon all week. So we're launching our application podcast.

This week after the 6pm service, I chatted with Lolu. I asked him how he was starting to think through the application of Sunday's sermon on Luke 18:1-8.

Seeing people as God sees them...everyday.

Lucy Brock, is a member of the 6pm congregation. She works as a physiotherapist. Here she helps us think about loving our work colleagues everyday.

My heart sinks a little: our RML table is covered in flyers for a guest event. Later in the week, I do some RML prep - the wretched flyers fall out of my Bible. I shove them back into 2 Kings (hoping that I won't be there for a while). And then I'm back at RML and a well-meaning associate

Science, Miracles and Bananas

Quadriplegics healed, walking on water, storms calmed and seas parted. The Bible contains many accounts of miracles supposedly reported by eye-witnesses. But could miracles really happen? Aren't they scientifically impossible? Dr. Andrew Sach, who has a degree from Cambridge and a PhD in Neuroscience from York University, suggests a way forward in the debate.

Your first prayer supper?

Whether you're in Mark, Romans or Overview, you may still never have been to a prayer supper at St Helen's. We think that's a real shame because prayer supper is a real family time, where we can get together as big church family and pray for each other!
