I got baptised on Sunday

Last Sunday Sam was baptised at the 6pm service. It was a great time, as we his church community, rejoiced with him, in his public declaration of the new life he has found in Christ.

Literally BFF

Is a community based around the Word of God really different to a community based on anything else? I got in touch with my friend Ailsa to ask her what difference our faith has made to our friendship. Ailsa and I have been friends for 12 years (yikes, more than a third of our lives!). In late October he came to address the staff team on the message of Galatians.

They’re buzz words of our age.  Authentic: not false or copied, genuine, real.  Community: a group of people having a particular characteristic in common.

We want authentic community. We know church should offer it. So how do we build it?
