At home with Susie Child

Posted by Sunday Evening Team on January 28, 2016

Hi, I'm Susie and I'm hidden with Christ in God.  No, I don't usually give that answer when people ask me about myself, but as I've been thinking about my work (for this blog) I've been so thankful to be able to say that's who I am.  If you want to know what I do, I'm a stay-at-home mum.  I spend my days hanging out with Lucy (6), Freddie (3) and Barnabas (21 months) and love it (most of the time!)- a precious moment today was looking Continue reading…

Unemployed for Jesus

Posted by Sunday Evening Team on January 26, 2016

As we think about work at the 6pm, we're aware that unemployment is a reality that lots of us will face; voluntarily or involuntarily, either now or in the future.

Posted by Sunday Evening Team on January 18, 2016

 Greenwich Park

Late last summer a group from St Helen's and a group from St Peter's Barge planted Grace Church Greenwich. It's now four months old. As we start to pray and plan towards our next church plant, we thought we'd ask Dave and Katie Butler (previously 6pm regulars) to describe what it's like being at Grace Church and how they've been getting on since leaving St Helen's. Here's how they replied:

Posted by Ruthanne on January 14, 2016

Following on from Sunday night's sermon, I asked two 6pmers to tell us why their work is good.

Becky H

Becky Hodgkinson

I work as a child protection social worker in East London. When I tell people what my job is the word 'good' is rarely what springs to mind. However here are just a couple of reasons as to why I think my work is GOOD!

I have a responsibility to look after the children and families that God entrusts to my care. I work with th Continue reading…
