Christmas has come and gone. The turkey is done and the tinsel’s looking drab. We’ve heard the nativity story for another year, it’s time to pack away Mary and Joseph, leave Bethlehem and return to reality.

But don’t forget to bring King Jesus with you. He came as a baby, but he came as the king. He rules now, we’re in the eternal Jesus season.

Have a think about who gave you the greatest gift you’ve received? Was it a parent, a sibling, a friend?

Compared with the gift itself- remembering who gave the gift is much trickier. Yet the giver is just as important as the gift. Without the giver we’d have nothing.
