Parking

Parking at St Helen’s can be difficult, so please leave extra time, particularly on your first visit. Midweek parking is not easy due to our central location although after 6.30pm many of the restrictions lapse. However there are several options should you wish to park near the church on Sundays. Parking restrictions are in force in the City on Sunday mornings but fewer restrictions apply on Sunday evenings.

St Helen’s Place

There is a small car park close to the church in St Helen’s Place for use on Sunday mornings. This is primarily intended for newcomers and anyone with guests or small children. It’s run on a first-come, first-served basis, opening from 10.05 to 10.30am. The gates are locked during the morning meeting and re-open at 12.00pm. Vehicles must be removed by 12.30pm at the latest.

Great St Helen’s

A limited number of parking permits are available for use immediately outside the church in Great St Helen’s on Sunday mornings. Valid for one year, they are restricted to people with special requirements – such as those who have difficulty walking or have a number of small children. For more details, contact the church office.

Street Parking

Pay and Display street parking bays in the City are normally free all day on Sundays.   Some roads with single yellow lines carry restrictions until 2pm on a Sunday (including Great St Helen's and its vicinity) and so we advise you to look carefully at the posted notices to check what restrictions may be in force.

Car Parks

There are several Corporation of London car parks within walking distance of the church:

London Wall (underground between Aldersgate Street and Moorgate)
The Minories, Mansell Street

Tower Hill, Lower Thames Street
