"I will build my church"

When national statistics present the church in decline, where are we to find growth? So many answers direct our attention to human means, but these famously-misunderstood verses present a rallying cry to trust our reigning king. He will build his church on the rock of his apostles' teaching and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
