What should we expect this coming year to be like? Ecclesiastes is God’s kind word to help us see the world as it really is—fallen, frustrated, unsatisfying—so we don’t try to chase after what the world can’t possibly give. Will we heed God’s kind word and start looking at the world as it really is? Will our hopes for the future reflect reality?
