Couldn’t God have just seen into the future and chosen those he knew would choose him? If we take a closer look at Jeremiah 1:5 we see this isn’t what 'foreknowledge' means. God has chosen those who would not respond to the gospel. God stands behind election and reprobation asymmetrically.
