Isaiah 9:2-7

Glory to the newborn king

Isaiah 9:2-7 promises light in darkness through a coming ruler. Despite political and spiritual despair, Isaiah foretells a child—Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace—who will break burdens, end wars, and establish eternal peace. Jesus, the fulfilment of this prophecy, offers true light and hope. Christmas isn't fleeting sentimentality but a reminder of lasting salvation and freedom through Christ, our eternal King.
