Who will we trust, when our lives and future are on the line in the real world? Isaiah 36-37 records world history from 701BC, with Hezekiah facing the same question at the time of the Assyrian invasion. In the face of such danger and deception, Hezekiah’s prayer models the right response for us: trust in the LORD’s salvation, because the LORD will show that he alone is sovereign!
