The authority to save

How do we measure a person’s worth? And who do we believe deserves to be saved? Luke chapters 7 and 8 focus deeply on the theme of salvation. In the healing of the centurion's servant, we witness a striking contrast between the attitudes of some Jewish elders and a Roman centurion in understanding who is worthy of salvation. The Roman centurion’s faith leaves Jesus marvelling.
