Isaiah 52:13-53:12

Merciful

Appearances can deceive. What looks worthless can be of surpassing value if we only understand its value. This passage reveals God's extraordinary mercy to us in his servant Jesus. His suffering looks humiliating, but is in fact the path to glory because he suffers for us. When we understand his suffering for what it is, we are able to confidently proclaim the cross even though it seems worthless to so many.
