Marriages that defile

In Malachi 2:10–16, God calls out marital unfaithfulness as a deep betrayal—not just of our spouses, but of him. This passage highlights two key failures: marrying those who worship other gods and divorcing the spouse God has united us with. Both are acts of covenant-breaking. Why does God take this so seriously? Because he is a covenant-keeping God—and expects us to reflect that in our relationships. The call is clear: guard yourselves.
