Calling the captives

Jesus makes extraordinary claims—claims that demand serious evidence to back them up. In his Gospel, Luke gives us exactly that. He shows us Jesus at work, speaking with authority, acting with power, and revealing a will completely aligned with God’s purposes. Through it all, Luke writes to build our confidence in who Jesus is. His goal? Certainty—and his account delivers it.
