The true temple

Why is that everyone doesn’t want to follow Jesus? In John 2, we’re given the first glimpse into John’s answer: Jesus’ glorious reign of joy and life must come through judgement and radical reconstruction. In some ways, it’s a shock: Jesus is much fiercer than we might imagine. But it’s also obvious: of course real hope means nothing less than judgement and the resurrection of the dead.
