Jesus famously calls everyone to believe in him—so it's striking when John's Gospel introduces a kind of belief that Jesus doesn’t trust. In his one-on-one conversation with Nicodemus, we see what it is that Jesus doesn't like, and we're invited to see whether we have the right kind of belief.
