Why do we pray? Because God is our Father. He created us in his image, adopted us through his Son, and is transforming us by his Spirit. Prayer is not merely a religious activity — it is the natural response of children speaking with their loving Father. This session explores who God is, who we are, and why every part of life can become an opportunity for prayer. From praise and thanksgiving to confession, lament, and requests, Scripture calls us to pray ‘at all times’ and to live consciously in the presence of God. Together we’ll consider how ordinary moments — work, conversation, anxiety, joy, disappointment, and daily routines — can be turned into worship. As we learn to bring our worries to God, prayer gradually moves us from self-centred fear to God-centred trust, praise, and worship.
