Men's Worker

We are currently recruiting for men’s worker positions, with opportunities available across both our mid-week City ministry and Sunday evening congregation.

  • Sunday afternoon men’s worker (full-time): We are seeking a full-time men’s worker to join our Sunday afternoon congregation, starting in September 2025. The role involves discipling men through Bible teaching and one-to-one ministry, building relationships, and contributing to the life and growth of the congregation.
  • City and Sunday evening men’s worker (full-time): This full-time role is shared across the Sunday evening congregation and the City Team, starting in September 2025. It involves discipling men in both settings through Bible teaching, personal ministry, and collaborative work with staff across the teams. The exact shape of the role will be determined in light of the candidate’s strengths and ministry experience.

Children’s Worker (male)

We are seeking a full-time Children's Worker (male) to join our staff team in September 2025. This role is an exciting opportunity for those considering church leadership, providing considerable hands-on ministry experience alongside training. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and developing the children’s ministry at St Helen’s, ensuring that children are taught the Bible faithfully and supported in their discipleship. They will also train and equip Sunday School leaders to do the same. We are looking for a committed Christian with previous experience of working with children.

St Helen’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. All appointments to this role are subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Women's Workers

We are currently recruiting for women’s worker positions, with opportunities available across both our mid-week City ministry and Sunday evening congregation.

  • City and Sunday evening women’s worker (full-time): We are seeking a full-time women’s worker to serve within our Sunday evening congregation and our mid-week City lunchtime talks and meetings, starting as soon as possible. Responsibilities include discipling women through Bible teaching and pastoral care, building relationships, and contributing to the wider ministry team. The exact shape of the role will be tailored to the candidate’s strengths and ministry experience.
  • City Team women’s worker (maternity cover): This is a fixed-term role beginning at the end of July and provides maternity cover within our mid-week City ministry. You will work alongside existing staff to support and disciple women through Bible studies, one-to-one meetings, and ministry events.
