Meet our team

William Taylor Rector

William grew up on a farm in Cornwall. He served in the British Army as an Officer in the Royal Green Jackets for five years before being ordained. In 1995 he joined St Helen’s Church and became Rector in 1998. William is married to Janet and they have three children—Emily, Digby and Archie. He has authored some books to help people understand the Bible including, 'Partnership', 'Understanding the Times', 'The Word One to One', 'Style or Substance?', 'Revolutionary Sex' and 'Revolutionary Work'. He was a contributor to the 'Proclamation Bible'. He is also editor of the 'Read Mark Learn' series: 'John', 'Romans' and 'Luke (volumes 1 and 2)'.
