What we do

We are all about knowing Jesus and making him known. Our aim as a church family is to bring glory to God in everything that we do and in all that we are. We want to know Jesus Christ and we long to make him known in London and around the world. In particular, we aim to:

Reach out: to tell as many people as possible the glorious news of Jesus Christ.

Build up: to help each other grow in our relationship with God, in order that we might serve him wholeheartedly in the world.

Send out: to equip every Christian to serve Jesus faithfully for a lifetime. We train men and women to teach God’s word to a needy world and plant new churches in London and beyond.

Sunday and midweek

Every week we gather together on Sunday to hear God speak through the Bible, talk to him in prayer, sing his praises and help one another to follow Jesus. We have four different meetings and we would love to help you find the one that is right for you. We also have a lot going on during the week, including lunchtime talks, Bible studies, prayer and much more.

Workers

There is a great need to make Jesus known across offices in London. We have lunchtime talks, morning Bible studies and prayer groups at different times to fit in with your working day.

Students

Being a student at St Helen's means you are part of the student community within our church family, with many opportunities to build genuine and Christ-centred friendships. Students meet on Sunday evenings at 6pm and on Wednesday evenings during term time for small group Bible studies. There are lots of other ways to get involved and we would love you to join us. If you would like to, we can also introduce you to an older member of the church family to look at the Bible and pray together.

Internationals

Whether you are here for university or work, you are welcome to join us on Sunday or midweek for our small group Bible study evenings. For Mandarin speakers, we have a Mandarin speaking Sunday meeting at 2pm and Bible study groups.

We also have Bible study groups and other events for people who speak French, Spanish, German, Japanese and some other languages.

Church life for young people at St Helen's

Young people

We want to see our children and young people grow to know God better, so that they will stand for him throughout their life. We love children and the sense of fun and energy that they bring to our church family. We long for each child at St Helen's to hear Jesus’ voice and develop a faith that lasts a lifetime. So we teach the Bible as faithfully, imaginatively, and engagingly as we can, depending on God to do his work through his word.

To ensure we offer the best possible care for the children, we have adopted the House of Bishops' 'Promoting a Safer Church' safeguarding policy statement. All our volunteers have been through the relevant screening procedures.
