Isaiah 52:13-53:12

God's suffering to save

We long for the joy of victory and we dread the despair of defeat. What is extraordinary, however, is that Jesus was willing to taste both the full depths of human sorrow and the ultimate victory for us. His sorrow is our hope and his victory means ultimately defeating sorrow and sin for us.
