Acts 20:17-27

The ministry that builds the church

This chapter finds Paul addressing the intellectual elite and the sophisticates of Athens. The invitation to speak comes after he has already explained the Christian gospel. The speech itself both exposes the idolatry of man, dismantles it and presents the grand sweep of God’s purpose for humankind. We should seek after him, for he is not far from each one of us.
