Courage and cowardice

Institutional failure is something we have grown uncomfortably familiar. Whether in politics, media, business or even the church, the scandals are common and keep coming. The institutional failure that led to Jesus’ crucifixion makes all our flawed systems seem small by comparison. Yet from this greatest collapse in national integrity, God purposes a radical fresh start. The divine genius and sovereign love of God in sending his Son will fill you with hope; not in another human institution, but in his response to our failures.
