The generosity of the king

When you consider the cost of following Jesus, is it worth it? The apostle Peter seemed to have this question and Jesus answered with an unequivocal “yes!” But he also cautioned us against picturing God as a stingy employer. God doesn’t pay as the world does, but shows lavish generosity which is independent of our performance.
