Having established the certainty of our resurrection, Paul then describes it. In contrast to the vanity of our mortal lives, we are assured of our immortal resurrection bodies in the future. As J. I. Packer has observed, ‘for the Christian, the best is always yet to come’—which means that this is our spare life.
