Jesus and the future

The Bible describes death as being like a sheet that covers all humanity. Anyone who has lived for longer than a few years will find it impossible to deny it. Death haunts us all. Jesus Christ claims to have absolute authority over death. He's only the one who is able to save us from its harsh reality. No other religious leader has such authority. This makes Jesus not only unique but also essential.
