What would you expect a dying church to look like? Jesus confronts us with a shocking answer: the church in Sardis is praised by their peers, but Jesus says that they are at death’s door. His words of warning and promise will resuscitate this dying church, and these same words will make us immune to the spiritual disease afflicting Sardis.
