The king’s astonishing call

This cryptic little section elevates the child and brings down the most likely candidate to enter heaven; all in a ploy to teach us that anybody could get into the kingdom, though it has very little to do with what we do. Jesus, as ever, is kind, deft, and surprising his disciples throughout.
